The Plasma Pen uses a small handheld device that emits a controlled electric arc (plasma) just above the skin’s surface. This creates tiny thermal injuries, triggering the skin’s natural healing process, collagen production, and tightening of the treated area.

Most clients report mild discomfort during the procedure. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to minimise any pain. You may feel a slight tingling or burning sensation as the Plasma Pen makes contact with your skin.

The treatment typically takes between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the size of the area being treated. Larger areas or multiple treatment zones may take longer.

After the procedure, small scabs or “carbon crusts” will form on the treated areas. These will naturally fall off within 5-7 days. Some swelling, redness, and tenderness are normal for a few days post-treatment. You’ll also receive specific aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing.

Most people experience around 5-7 days of downtime, during which the small scabs will heal and fall off. Full recovery, including reduced redness and swelling, can take 7-14 days. During this time, it’s important to follow aftercare instructions carefully.

The results of a Plasma Pen treatment can last up to 2-3 years, depending on the area treated and your skin type. However, factors such as ageing, lifestyle, and skin care habits can affect how long the results last.

Common side effects include redness, swelling, and the formation of small scabs on the treated area. These are temporary and part of the healing process. Rarely, some clients may experience pigmentation changes or scarring, especially if aftercare instructions aren’t followed.
